My destiny was set from birth and is embossed in my name; Ryan Fix. Ever since I was a little boy, I have always loved fixing things. It could have been my sister's broken hair dryer or the family lawnmower. But at night, I would always dream of ways I could help my friends bring their crazy ideas to life, whether it was a skateboarding half-pipe in the forest or a golf-cart that could pull us across the golf course on our skimboards just after a torrential downpour.

While those were glorious memories, when I was 12, these dreams became more intense as I searched for my life's purpose after surviving a brush with death during a 14 hour brain surgery. Even in the vulnerability of that challenging time recovering my physical mobility, I understood I had a unique ability to bring my friends together to make things happen. At the tender age of 14, something extraordinary happened as lightning struck the ground right next to where I was standing. In that moment, that one I can only describe as divine, I heard a clear message: Your purpose is to help your friends make their dreams come true. That calling became my compass.

After a decade of preparation, I began walking a deeply intentional (and intuitive) path, one guided by the question: How can we create spaces where people feel fully seen, supported, and inspired to build what matters most? That question led me to establish The Pure Project in late 2004 as a platform to launch projects embedded with the values of peace, unity, resilience and equality; the foundation of the acronym P.U.R.E. We are on a mission to empower individuals, nurture thriving organizations, and drive collective growth for a more conscious, connected world. Over the past two decades we have catalyzed countless P.U.R.E. projects, some of which served as early blueprints for the future propagation of business incubators and accelerators, social entrepreneurship & impact investing, co-working & co-living spaces, crowdfunding, experiential marketing and beyond.

This incredible journey led me to Bali in 2018, where I wrote a short memoir called Born To Connect, which presents a framework for fostering a culture of connection. After completing the book, I established Pure House near Ubud, Bali as a living laboratory and institute to explore the subtle art of authentic connection; with ourselves, one another and life itself. Envisioned as an informal think tank of collective possibility and purpose-driven collaboration towards cultural innovation, we began to weave as a self-managed organization with intentions of becoming a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). That experiment proved to be a tad bit ahead of its time, but now the time is ripe.

Today, we are developing Pure Network as a legitimate think tank composed of a curated community of visionary creatives, cultural architects, systems builders and network weavers that share the desire to collaboratively develop solutions to some of humanity's greatest challenges; not because we have to, but because it's what we love to do and it's what brings us joy.

Guided by the question… what would it look like to gather a group of purpose-driven peers committed to building the foundations of a regenerative future, the intention is to develop these solutions through the formation of Pure Labs, a venture studio for purpose-driven ventures that seek to create, live and adapt new economic blueprints that benefit all life on the planet.

As a non-profit think tank, the members of Pure Network would receive a UBI (universal basic income) based upon their contributions. Further, by making a philanthropic investment in Pure Network, our benefactors will receive exclusive access to commision, fund and contribute to ventures that we incubate together within Pure Labs. Members of Pure Network will have the opportunity to boost their UBI with equity and profit-sharing in our collectively incubated ventures.
